Partial die cutting with DT Adéla

Hello crafting ladies! It´s Adéla and I am really happy that I can show you my first blog post on the CDD blog.
Partial die cutting is a great way how you can use your cutting dies. I made a card with cofee troll and word "sending" that is partially poping up.
These cute stamps and cutting days are from Craftindesertdivas eshop

Firstly, I prepared kraft cardstock 12"x8" and scored on 4"and 8" to make 3 equal parts.
Then I draw a line with pencil, just to help me line up the die. I used a masking tape to position my die.  Bottom plate of the Big shot should be on the same position as the line.

Cover it with acrylic plate and go throw your cutting machine. As you can see, die did not cut fully.
Now I could score the card to get final shape.

I wanted to add more dimension, so I cut word "Sending" two more times to make my own kind of chipboard.
I cut paper for watercolor techniques to make a background. I used simple blending with Distress inks.
I wanted to add a stamp "hug in a mug". I used clear media and white embossing powder. I used brush to get of word "sending" before heat embossing.
I stamped troll with black Archival ink and then colored with Kuretake Zig clean color markers.
I cut out troll and mushroom and darken the outline with black Tombow marker.
I added few details with white gel pen and Wink of Stella shimmer pen. I glued background to the card base.
I used foam tape to attach images to the card base and also added few Nuvo drops to the background.
I am looking forward to see your creations.
